1. Who we are
Goldenthred Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales (Company Number: 17212595). We operate the Goldenthred platform at app.goldenthred.ai and the Goldenthred Chrome extension.
References to "we", "us", or "Goldenthred" in these terms mean Goldenthred Ltd. References to "you" mean the person or entity using our service.

2. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using Goldenthred, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Goldenthred Ltd governed by the laws of England and Wales.
3. What Goldenthred does
Goldenthred is a professional context management platform that helps knowledge workers organise and synthesise information across multiple client engagements. It includes a web application and a Chrome browser extension.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We will give reasonable notice where possible.
4. Your account
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials secure
- All activity that takes place under your account
- Ensuring the information you provide at registration is accurate
You must be at least 18 years old to use Goldenthred. The service is intended for professional use.
You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Goldenthred to:
- Store or process data you do not have the right to use
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another user's data
- Reverse engineer, copy, or resell any part of the service
- Upload or transmit malicious code or content
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these conditions.
6. Your data
You retain ownership of all data you upload or create within Goldenthred. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data to train AI models. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details of how we handle your data.
You are responsible for ensuring that any client or third-party data you store in Goldenthred is handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including UK GDPR.
7. AI-generated content
Goldenthred uses AI to generate briefs, summaries, and intelligence outputs. These are generated automatically and may not always be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific situation.
You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before acting on it. We are not liable for decisions made on the basis of AI-generated outputs.
8. Subscription and payment
Goldenthred is offered on a monthly subscription basis. Pricing is displayed at goldenthred.ai.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period
- You can cancel at any time via your account settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain access until then
- We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods
We reserve the right to change pricing. We will give at least 30 days' notice of any price increase and you may cancel before the new price takes effect.
Early access rate pricing, where applicable, is locked for life for eligible users as described at the time of sign-up.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We provide Goldenthred on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind
- We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure
- We are not liable for any loss of data, loss of profits, loss of business, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service
- Our total liability to you in any 12-month period shall not exceed the amount you paid us during that period
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Intellectual property
All intellectual property in the Goldenthred platform, including the software, design, and content we create, belongs to Goldenthred Ltd. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of it without our written permission.
You retain all intellectual property rights in the content and data you create or upload.
11. Third-party services
Goldenthred integrates with third-party services including Supabase, OpenAI, and PostHog. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party providers.
12. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the breach.
On termination, we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via the product. Continued use of Goldenthred after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
